(Islamic State of Iraq and Syria)」的問題上,透過《蘋果日報》專欄及《商業電台》接連發表違反人道、宣揚宗教與族群仇恨等言論。

(The International Bill of Human Rights)的簽署國之一,陶傑言論主張法國應違反簽署公約承諾,尤其違反當中《世界人權宣言》(The Universal Declaration of Human Rights)第二條【註三】

(Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty. )

French President Strikes… Up A Conversation  by Chip Tsao(曹捷, 陶傑)

“This is war.” (C’est la guerre), announced President François Hollande to France following the massacre in Paris.

I’m not sure if I misheard. But if I didn’t, then I wonder whether the Socialist, leftist president fully understands the concept of “war.”

War requires mobilization and strategy. The “war” Hollande was referring to has no formidably opposing country such as Germany, Italy or Japan of World War II. Granted, there may be many young Islamic immigrants planted as spies in European countries, connecting with one another through the internet. But the Islamic State is an enormous ideological military organization, not an established country by any means. So by declaring “war,” the French president effectively brought his questionable grasp of the concept to the fore.

Any outside venture should be rooted from a stable core. Before sending out his air and ground troops, there are several things Hollande can do if he’s serious about “waging war.” First, monitor the racial and ethnic minority groups within France, including those families that have immigrated to the country more than three generations ago. Then, confiscate all their technological communication devices. Back in World War II, Winston Churchill restricted the activities of all German immigrants within England and kept them under close watch in many hotels, while Theodore Roosevelt sent all Japanese immigrants within the United States into concentration camps. Are these examples of “Fascism?” No, that is war.

Why should minorities be targeted? It’s simple. Because the Islamic State doesn’t worship the predominantly white religion of Catholicism. What is war? War is the quest for victory where Machiavellian tactics could inevitably (or perhaps acceptably) be used. Wartime England saw civilians surveilling one another to capture spies. Churchill ordered the Royal Air Force (RAF) to go on a bomb fest on Hamburg, Dresden, and Cologne, killing 600,000 German civilians (not soldiers) in response to Germany’s attacks on London and Coventry. Now that is war.

War requires major sacrifice. It requires the eradication of human foibles such as selfishness, hypocrisy and cowardice. The people of Western civilization must surrender many oft-enjoyed human rights in order to wage this defensive war against evil. However, today’s Western citizens have yet to embrace the spirit of “Fascism”.

For example, leader of the Labour Party  and the mother of one of the hostage victims Haines, criticized the U.S. Air Force for killing Jihadi John in Syria, suggesting that the terrorist should’ve been brought to the UK for trial. But anyone with an inkling of common sense could question: What if Jihadi John had escaped? How many more people would he have killed if he were to remain alive? This is why: A naïve and stupid society is ill qualified to consider “waging a war.”

I don’t believe Hollande gets it. He is no Charles De Gaulle. All Hollande and his constituents can do is pray, but they’re uninformed. Perhaps when the Islamic State detonates mini nuclear bombs in Paris, Lyon and Marseille all on the same day, the people of France could finally become enlightened. Perhaps then, they would understand what war truly is. Perhaps. But for now, Hollande is just looking to chat.
